Did you know?; sea lions have visible external ear flaps, loud barking calls, and large front flippers used to "walk" on land, while true seals lack external ears, are quieter, and move on land by wriggling on their bellies.

         And a quick tip for all the neewbie seal connoisseurs!  There are 33 to 35 species of seals worldwide! categorized into three main families: earless/true seals (Phocidae), eared seals (Otariidae), and walruses (Odobenidae). These semiaquatic mammals are found globally, with 18 species of true seals and 14 species of eared seals (fur seals and sea lions).
